Prototipe system for visibility checks on existing transport infrastructures in the field of Smart City

The feasibility study is aimed at improving the level of intrinsic safety of urban infrastructure through the fulfillment of mutual visibility conditions at that points where happens any event of conflict between current of traffic.

The purpose will be achieved through the development of an instrumental prototype able to detect the road environment and verify independently the fulfillment of the conditions of visibility for the type of interaction considered. The acquisition instrument must have as a model the so-called "mobile mapping system", a means or a tool capable of acquiring in a synchronous multiple types of data (images, point clouds, structures, positions), have the ability to link the individual data between them in order to create a database (DB) full of geo-referenced data and finally, to allow the end user to extract three-dimensional information (position, distances, etc.) from the DB created.
